Hope After Traumatic Brain Injury - You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have!
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Melissa graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Engineering. She is currently enrolled to continue her studies with Auburn University to pursue her MBA virtually. Melissa hopes to use her degree to help make a difference in the world.
We are excited to see all of the progress Finn Foundation Inc will make in helping those impacted by Traumatic Brain Injuries under her supervision.
Matthew studied Neuroscience and Chemistry at Central Michigan University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in both. He has recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Science in both Chemistry and Biochemistry.
He is currently pursuing his PhD with the University of Michigan in Neuroscience. Matthew plans to research novel therapeutic drug developments for traumatic brain injuries.
Matthew’s career path was inspired by our family’s experience with traumatic brain injuries. Now, he is pursuing his studies back where it all started for us (UofM). As you can see, Matthew is very busy and it made the most sense for him to take on this new role. He will help us find ways and places to donate with the connection he now has with Michigan Medicine.
Ryan has a dual degree in Marketing and Logistics from Central Michigan University. He currently works as a Dispatcher for Michigan Prime Logistics and delivery.
Ryan is the reason this foundation was created after he was in a car accident in 2010. The accident became a defining moment for the Finneran family. After witnessing the hardships that followed the accident first-hand, his family sold t-shirts and wristbands locally to help offset the cost medical bills. From there, he and his family were inspired to help others being impacted by traumatic brain injuries.
With a strong aptitude and interest in finance, as well as having one of the most compassionate personality traits, Ryan took on his role as Treasurer with pride.
Shannon has a degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University. She currently is a stay-at-home mom, who also runs her own photography business.
Shannon enjoys watching her boys grow up, with her third child on the way (this time, it’s a girl!) She also enjoys capturing memories for couples and families - check out her work on her page Lily Bliss Photography.
Shannon loves being organized and communicating with people. With this role, she helps to send thank you cards, schedules our monthly meetings, and takes notes for future reference. We appreciate her work greatly!
